Harper Brush Works Today

Harper Brush Works, Inc. is proud to be an American manufacturer. The Company currently consists of three manufacturing and distribution locations situated across the United States. This allows Harper Brush Works to provide excellent service by being within one day's drive of 95% of the US population.

Fairfield, Iowa is the home of Harper Brush Works. The corporate offices are located at the site of the original manufacturing site, pictured top left. At one time all of Harper's offices, manufacturing and distribution operations were housed at this location.
In 1996, Harper Brush Works purchased a larger manufacturing facility in the Fairfield Industrial Park and moved the Brush Fill, Shipping and Receiving departments to the new location, leaving the Woodworking operations in the original location. This expansion, pictured second down on the left, allowed Harper to install both a streamlined manufacturing process and a high-tech order picking system.

In April of 2001, Harper Brush Works expanded their west coast presence with the purchase National Broom Company. The purchase added new manufacturing capabilities and better distribution service to the Western United States. In 2005, with increased business demands the Company moved into a location with larger manufacturing and distribution capabilities, pictured third down on the left. The Company used the move as an opportunity to design work flow around Lean Manufacturing principals. Logistics Management recognized the "best practices" approach with a Silver Award.

In January of 2005, Harper Brush Works expanded again through the acquisition of a facility located in Greenville, North Carolina, pictured lower left. The investment not only facilitated distribution to the Eastern United States, but also added injection molding capabilities. The equipment and staff experience allows Harper Brush Works to further a commitment to keeping the United States' manufacturing base strong and provide jobs in the US, by manufacturing products and components previously purchased abroad.
